Short answer: wrap a soft tape measure around your head along the hairline, above the ears and around the nape. Most women measure about 21.5 to 22.5 inches (55 to 57 cm), which is a standard medium cap; most wigs also have adjustable straps for a closer fit.
Three measurements
- Circumference: hairline, above the ears, round the nape.
- Front to nape: hairline to the nape over the top of the head.
- Ear to ear: across the top of the head.
